Half-Hour Lessons. Rates for studio lessons (in my apartment/studio) are $12.50 per half-hour lesson. If you pay for the entire month in advance, it is $50.00 regardless of whether there are 4 or 5 lessons (in other words, in months with five lesson days you get a free lesson!).
Hour Lessons. For one-hour studio lessons, the fee is $25.00 (or $100.00 if you pay in advance for the month).
Half-Hour Lessons. Rates for in-home lessons (teacher travels to your home) are $15.00 per half-hour lesson (slightly more than studio lessons to accomodate for gas and travel time). If you pay for the entire month in advance, it is $60.00 regardless of whether there are 4 or 5 lessons.
Hour Lessons. For one-hour in-home lessons, the fee is $30.00 per lesson (or $120.00 if you pay in advance for the month).
NOTE: In-home lessons are available only for residents of Champaign, Urbana or Savoy. Also, for in-home piano lessons, you must have a piano or keyboard in your home!
If you have two or more members of the same family who wish to take music lessons, you will receive a 20% discount if you pay monthly. For example, two siblings who sign up for weekly, half-hour, studio lessons will pay a combined total of only $80.00 per month instead of $100.00.

- GoodEar.com The Online, Free Ear Training on the Net Ear Trainer! For a musician ear training is one of the most important tasks. Good Ear helps you to develop good ears.

- Teoria The teoria program will help you develop your music theory and ear-training skills through many types of exercises: Construction and identification of intervals, scales, key signatures, chords and harmonic functions; Intervals, scales and chords ear-training; Melodic dictation.
- Functional Ear Trainer A critically acclaimed ear training suite containing two programs: Functional Ear Trainer - Basic and Functional Ear Trainer - Advanced. Both programs are different from the traditional ear training programs where you typically have to guess intervals, scales, chords, and rhythms. Functional Ear Trainer presents an original and very effective way to learn to recognize notes in the context of a key. This is a proven method that, with a little bit of effort, really works.
- Clarion A music utility which allows you to practice and be quizzed on your ability to recognize musical intervals. Allows customized quizzing of the particular scales you are interested in. For added difficulty, the interval tonic, consonance, and direction may be randomized.
- Ear Training Software These are the first in a series of computer-aided instruction drills for music majors at CSUDH. They are *FREEWARE*. At the present time they're in the "alpha testing" phase. Please feel free to download them. (Drills ascending/descending from fixed tonic.)
- Melodic Ear Trainer 1.3 Melodic Ear Training v1.3 is a powerful music sight reading and ear training course for the Macintosh. Students will learn to play and recognize melodic patterns at sight. The Melodic Ear Trainer will play a random pattern of notes on the grand staff from the range that you select. Toggle between diatonic or chromatic notes. Adjust the length and tempo of the melody to match your skill level.
- Winoye A cool ear training program. The program plays melodic intervals, harmonic intervals, short melodies, and two- and three-note chords, which you must play back by pointing to keys on a keyboard it displays. Winoye requires a MIDI interface or a sound card.
- EarMaster Pro 4.0/EarMaster School 4.0 Get a MUSICAL EAR that will boost your musical performance! Hear sheet music in your head. - Ear Trainer 1.0 Ear Trainer trains your ear to recognise and name notes played from a keyboard. Now when you hear a tune or hum some little ditty you'll be able to write it down straight away, instantly recognising the notes.
- GNU Solfege 1.4.4 GNU Solfege is a program that will help you to accomplish ear training. The program includes exercises to train chords, intervals and rhythms. The program can be extended by users using lesson files.
